O'Ceallaigh Medal
The O'Ceallaigh Medal was established by the estate of the late
Prof. Cormac O'Ceallaigh and the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies to
honour "outstanding contributions to cosmic ray physics" and is awarded by
the IUPAP Commission on Cosmic Rays. The Commission wishes to use this
award to recognize significant contributions to our field over an
extended career. The selection will be made by a subcommittee of the IUPAP
C4 Commission. The medal will be presented at the 31st ICRC at Łódź, Poland,
in July 2009.
Suggestions for suitable recipients of the medal, together with supporting information, should be sent to Suresh Tonwar, Chair of the Cosmic Ray Commission. The sponsor may also wish to ask two co-sponsors to send supporting letters. Nominations should be sent to the following address:
